¡Un qué disastre!

Well, I had intended to spend this evening posting some pics of my first day in Madrid. Instead, I was robbed by a very adept pickpocket this evening (for those keeping track, this is the second time in the last year that I was robbed on my first or second day in Spain). So I have spent the last four hours filing police reports and calling banks. Right now, everything seems to be in reasonable shape and I should be able to complete my trip (with perhaps a few changes) as planned. Pics will have to wait until tomorrow.

Have you heard that there are certain types of people that emit an odor especially attractive to mosquitoes, hence are particularly susceptible to the bite? I would think by now you'd have learned Qui Gon forcelike powers and would be able to sense the pickpockets approaching...

For something completely different, I was holed up in the emergency room Fri night/Sat morning until about 7 am. Oh yes, the idiots in the pharmacy didn't fill my prescription with the appropriate medication -- no, they filled it with a high dose of Lanoxin, aka Digitalis, aka murder weapon of choice in Hercule Poirot novels. Yes, I myself am ready to take Qui Gon action against the perpetrators.

As you can imagine, I'm quite livid.

Hope everything works out.

Scratch my back too, dude.

Sounds awful. But better livid than rigid, I say. Let me know how things turn out.

It was a terrible disaster, but I think you must give yourself a chance to spend more time in other place not all in life is work, actually I spent part of life like you just working, now I think totally different.
